Anyone Can Learn to Read
Millions of Americans lack the basic reading skills to read their morning newspaper, workplace regulations... even traffic signs. Not because they're not smart enough to learn to read, but because they have never been given the proper foundation necessary for reading well.

But learning to read doesn't need to be difficult. The answer is in the time-tested method known as phonics. There are only 42 sounds in the English language. Once your child masters the 42 sounds of the alphabet, the five basic phonics skills and the two simple steps for decoding words, he or she can read anything.
